A man has been charged and remanded to prison after an incident at the Derbion shopping centre.
Officers were called to reports of two groups of men fighting near the entrance to the JD Sports shop in the centre at around 12.10pm on Monday 18 July.
A team of detectives have been working to identify those involved and have arrested and charged a man in connection with the incident.
Diontai Simpson, of Dryden Street, Derby, was charged with allegedly committing violent disorder.
The 20-year-old appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on 23 July where he was remanded to prison and is due to appear at Derby Crown Court on 22 August.
Officers remain keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident and can help officers with their enquiries.
