Officers stopped a man in City Road, Derby on Monday 24 January and, after a short chase he was detained. A quantity of class A drugs were recovered, along with a substantial amount of cash.
Masoud Seif, of Gordon Road, Birmingham, was charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine, assault of an emergency worker and possession of a criminal property.
The 21-year-old appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court the following day where he was remanded to prison.
He will next appear at Derby Crown Court on 15 February.
