A man has been charged with alleged drug offences after a chase through Derby street.
Officers from the SALCU road crime team stopped a Peugeot Bipper van in Rowditch Place at 3.20pm on 12 January.
After a short foot chase officers seized a bag which contained a large quantity of both heroin and cocaine.
Two weeks later, on Tuesday 25 January, Kamran Bhatti was arrested in connection with the offence and later that same day was charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and heroin and driving without insurance.
The 40-year-old of Prime Parkway, Derby, was remanded in police custody before appearing at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 26 January where he was remanded to court and will next appear at Derby Crown Court on 23 February.
