Appeal for witnesses after murder investigation is launched in Derby

We are appealing for information after a man has died following an assault in Derby.

We were called to a report of an attack in Green Lane, Derby, just after 12.30pm on Monday 3 July.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital in a critical condition but has now died.

A man, also in his 50s, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody for questioning.

We are keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened or has any information which can help with our enquiries.
