Body of a woman found in Ilkeston

We were called by a member of the public on Monday 26 June, just after 7.40am, to Straws Bridge Nature Reserve in Ilkeston following a report that a body had been found.

A woman, aged in her 70s, was discovered in the water and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics from East Midlands Ambulance Service.

An investigation into her death has been launched, however, we don’t believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
