Appeal for witnesses after schoolgirl is assaulted in Ilkeston

We are appealing for anyone who saw an assault in Ilkeston to come forward and help with our investigation.

We received a call just after 4.10pm on Friday 12 May reporting that a woman had grabbed a ten-year-old girl’s wrist.

The woman let go when a man, who was driving along Nottingham Road, stopped his car and intervened.

We are keen to hear from the man and anyone who witnessed what happened and has information which could help with our enquiries.
