UPDATE: 6.20pm, Monday 6 November
The A52 Brian Clough Way remains closed eastbound from A5111 Raynesway to the M1 at J25 for Nottingham and Derby this evening due to a serious collision.
The emergency services were called just before 1.35pm today (Monday 6 November) to the collision involving a motorbike and a man has been taken to hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries.
The road remains closed while investigations take place and to allow for the road to be cleared.
There are significant delays in the area and officers have been working with officers at the Highways Agency to reach motorists caught in the closure and some have been released past the closure.
If you are planning to travel in the area, please find an alternative route and allow extra time for your journey.
Diversion details can be found on the Highways Agency website here: Travel alerts - National Highways
