Two men have been charged with GBH after a man was assaulted in Derby city centre.
The incident occurred at 6.15am on Saturday 28 October in St Peter’s Street.
A man was found with injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Following a media appeal two men were arrested and subsequently charged with section 18 – wounding with intent.
Stephen Beresford, 25, of Osmaston Road, Derby, and Miles Jones, 26, of no-fixed abode, both appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on 2 November where they were remanded to prison.
They are due to appear at Derby Crown Court on 30 November.
