Appeal for information after an assault in Willington

We are appealing for anyone who witnessed an assault in Willington to contact us as part of our investigation.

We were called just before 6.30pm on Sunday 15 October to a report of an assault in Canal Bridge, Willington.

The victim, aged in her 30s, has alleged that she was attacked by another woman while she was standing on The Green in Willington.

Another woman, aged in her 30s, was arrested and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened or has any CCTV or dashcam footage from around the time of the incident to contact us.
