We are appealing for the owner of a dog to come forward and speak to us as part of our investigation into an attack in Normanton.
We were called just after 2.45pm on Friday 1 September to Sackville Street in Normanton following a report of an attack.
The victim, a man in his 50s, was walking along the street when he was bitten by an Alsatian dog, leaving him with injuries to his hand.
We are appealing for the owner of the dog, which was wearing a silver-coloured collar, to contact us as we would like to speak to them as part of our investigation.
If you know the owner of the dog, or saw what happened during the incident, you can contact us, quoting reference number 23*543762, on any of the methods below:
You can also anonymously contact the independent charity CrimeStoppers, on 0800 555 111, or by visiting the CrimeStoppers website.
