We are appealing for anyone with information about an assault in Kirk Hallam to contact us as part of our investigation.
We were called just before 6.55pm on Monday 9 October following a report of an assault in Godfrey Drive, Kirk Hallam.
A van had collided with a black Vauxhall Astra before going onto a grass verge and hitting a man.
An investigation has been launched into the incident and there will be increased patrols in the area over the next few days.
This is being treated as an isolated incident and we believe there is no wider threat to the community, however, should you have any concerns you can speak to any of the officers around the Kirk Hallam area.
As part of our investigation, we are appealing for anyone who witnessed what happened or has any CCTV or dashcam footage, to contact us as their information could be vital to our enquiries.
