Man dies after flat fire in Spondon

A man has died following a serious fire at a property in Rovings Drive, Spondon.
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 7.30am on Thursday 13 February.
A man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene. His family are aware and our thoughts are with them at this time.
A joint police and fire service investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
Enquiries are ongoing but at this time there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.
