We’re appealing for information after an alleged assault in Belper last night (Tuesday 5 August).
An 18 year old male suffered a cut to his head after he was allegedly assaulted during an altercation with a group of teenagers in the park on Whitemoor Lane between 10pm and 10.20pm.
He was kicked and punched during the incident, and hit with what we believe to have been a metal tool. Ambulance attended and he was taken to hospital in Derby to check his injuries as a precaution.
An investigation is underway and patrols have been stepped up in the area to reassure the local community.
