Chance to speak about policing concerns in Chesterfield
Main article content
Our officers in Chesterfield are offering residents the chance to speak about policing concerns in the area.
They will be available tomorrow, Tuesday 21 July, between 10am and 12 noon in Unit 23, a vacant shop in The Pavements Shopping Centre (opposite Poundland).
Measures are being put in place to allow the event to take place as safely as possible under current Covid-19 guidelines.
There will be taped areas to indicate and ensure two metre social distancing is adhered to, hand sanitiser and masks should also be used and available when needed.
Frequent cleaning of surfaces will also be taking place during the event.
PCSOs Knowles and Chapman-Jones, of the Chesterfield Town Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, have helped to organise the drop-in opportunity and will be there on the day.
PCSO Knowles said: “We wanted to give residents the opportunity to meet with us face to face to discuss any concerns they may have around policing but it is important that we do this as safety as possible and that measures are in place to help reduce the spread of Coronavirus.
“While we won’t be able to hand out information, we still hope to be able to provide advice on a one to one basis where we can, take details of any concerns and offer reassurance. We look forward to seeing members of our community and appreciate their understanding of the covid-19 measures we have put in place.”
If you are not able to make the event, or would like to contact your local Safer Neighbourhood policing team but do not want to attend in person at this time you can also contact them using the non-emergency methods below.
