Our Safer Neighbourhood teams across Derby are continuing to offer free bike marking as the latest event was well attended.
Yesterday (Wednesday, July 3) over 50 members of the public visited the Allestree team as they set up a pop-up event in the Park Farm Centre.
Officers spoke to residents about policing in the area, security marked bikes for free and offered the opportunity to sign up for Derbyshire Alert, a system that alerts people about policing issues in their neighbourhood.
The events are part of the ‘Safer Together’ campaign which marks new investment in the force that will see 120 new posts created working to improve police presence in neighbourhoods and bolster investigations.
The next such event is being held between 10am and 2pm, Wednesday, July 10 outside the Mackworth Library, Prince Charles Avenue, Mackworth.
