Our policing Safer Neighbourhood teams in Erewash have a new Sergeant in charge and two new PCs joining them.
Sergeant Mark Gould is the new man in charge, having joined the teams a few weeks ago on Monday, February 18.
Mark has been an officer with Derbyshire police for 18 years and was a PC at Peartree in Derby and for the Uniform Task Force.
He was then promoted to Sergeant at St Mary’s Wharf in Derby and joins the Erewash team having worked in the robbery and burglary Investigation team.
One of his first jobs was to bring two new officers in to the team with PC Chloe Burrell joining the Cotmanhay and Shipley View Safer Neighbourhood Team and PC Adam Richmond joining the teams in Ilkeston town and Larklands and Gallows.
Sergeant Gould said: “ I am really enjoying my new role. Safer Neighbourhood policing is at the heart of all we do as it’s vital we work together with our communities to keep Derbyshire a safe place to live, work and visit.
“I have already been out and about meeting people and am struck by the friendliness and willingness of people to work with us.
