Officers from our Safer Neighbourhood teams across South Derbyshire are holding a series of crime prevention events cross the district during September.
They are teaming up with staff from the Safer South Derbyshire Partnership to offer residents crime prevention advice and the opportunity to sign up for Derbyshire Alert in order to be kept updated with policing issues in their area.
There will also be the chance to have cycles security marked for free, the scheme works by marking the bike with a unique code linked to the owner’s details on a secure database. If their cycle is stolen and subsequently found, we can use this code to ensure the bike is returned to its rightful owner and prove it is stolen.
The marking by www.BikeRegister.com is usually £12 but is being offered free by our Safer Neighbourhood team.
The events are taking place on the following dates and places:
Saturday, 7th September, 10.00am -12 noon Sainsbury’s car park, Melbourne.
Wednesday, 18th September, 5pm -7pm, John Port school, Turning circle, Main St, Etwall
Thursday, 19th September, 5pm -7pm, parking area near to archway, Repton school, High St, Repton.
