Public Notice of Misconduct Hearing - Former PC Reece Froggatt
A Misconduct Hearing in respect of the above-named former police officer will commence at 10:00AM on Monday 28th September 2026 at Derbyshire Constabulary Headquarters, Ripley.
This hearing is currently scheduled to last for four days.
Former PC Froggatt will answer allegations that his conduct breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of ‘Discreditable Conduct’ and ‘Duties and Responsibilities,’ in that:
The former officer drove a marked police vehicle in a manner which fell far below the standards required of drivers of police vehicles.
These allegations are contrary to the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020.
The Chair of the hearing – Temporary Deputy Chief Constable Michelle Shooter has determined that the hearing will be held in public. However; having heard representations from the parties concerned, she has afforded anonymity in respect of a member of the public and as such, reporting restrictions will be in place to protect their identity.
For members of the Accredited Media – Please be advised that any challenge in respect of the aforementioned decision must be made in writing via email to [email protected], no later than two full days before the commencement of the hearing.
Members of the public and media may apply online to observe the proceedings in person.
If any member of the public or media wishes to observe this hearing, please pre-register by using the on-line registration form. Anyone who has not pre-registered will not be allowed into the hearing.
Please be advised that the number of applicants is limited to twelve for this venue and will be on a first come first served basis.
