A misconduct hearing in respect of a Derbyshire Police Officer was held between 5 and 6 May 2026 at Derbyshire Constabulary Headquarters, Ripley DE5 3RS.
The officer answered allegations that their conduct breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of ‘Discreditable Conduct’, ‘Duties and Responsibilities’ and ‘Use of Force’ in that, the officer used unnecessary, unreasonable and/or disproportionate force on a member of the public.
These allegations were contrary to the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020.
Having heard evidence from all interested parties, the Panel found the case against the officer to be not proven.
