2024 List of Dismissals - Police Officers/Police staff and Former Police Officers/Police Staff

The Officer answered allegations that their conduct breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of ‘Discreditable Conduct’ and ‘Honesty and Integrity’ in that the officer was convicted for the offence of misconduct in a public office.

These allegations are contrary to the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020.

The officer answered allegations that their conduct breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of, ‘Authority, Respect and Courtesy,’ ‘Discreditable Conduct’ and ‘Equality and Diversity’ in that she behaved in a sexually inappropriate manner towards colleagues.

These allegations are contrary to the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020.

LQC chaired Misconduct Hearing - held in public

The officer answered allegations that his conduct breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of, ‘Honesty and Integrity,’ and ‘Discreditable Conduct’ in that he was the driver of a Police vehicle that was involved in a road traffic collision. He subsequently left a note that did not identify him as causing the damage or report it as required.

These allegations are contrary to the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020.

The Former Officer answered an allegation that their conduct breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour for 'Discreditable Conduct', in that: During an arrest the former officer used force, which resulted in him receiving a criminal conviction for common assault. 

These allegations are contrary to the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020.

The officer answered allegations that their conduct breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of 'Honest and Integrity', 'Duties and Responsibilities' and 'Discreditable Conduct', in that: The officer failed in their duty to correctly deal with an exhibit, an act that had the potential to undermine the evidential integrity and a criminal investigations. The officer subsequently made a deliberate omission or suppression of facts to supervision and in statement.

The Former Officer answered allegations that his conduct breached the standards of professional behaviour in respect of:

• Authority Respect and Courtesy
• Honesty and Integrity
• Orders and Instructions
• Confidentiality
• Discreditable Conduct 

in that, the officer instigated and maintained an inappropriate emotional and/or sexual relationship with a person he met in the course of his duties. Furthermore, he failed to disclose this relationship and repeatedly accessed personal information about the person and/or their associates and family over an extended period.  

These allegations are contrary to the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020.

LQC chaired Misconduct Hearing - held in public

The staff member answered allegations that their conduct breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of ‘Discreditable conduct’, ‘Confidentiality’ and ‘Honesty and Integrity’ in that whilst on duty they created a false report from a member of the public and a record of contact to justify the accessing of police systems, which was for a non-policing purpose.

The former staff member answered an allegation that their conduct breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of ‘Discreditable Conduct’ in that they received a ‘Conditional Caution’ for the offence of possessing an offensive weapon without a reasonable excuse.
