Three men and a woman have been charged in relation to 128 theft from van offences across south Derbyshire and Erewash.
All four have been charged with conspiracy to steal and money laundering.
They are:-
Tom Chetwyn (37) of Derby Road, Chellaston
Lee Hames (40) of Bentley Street, Allenton
Mark Pidgeon (41) of Anglers Lane, Spondon
Laura Resoda (38) of Derby Road, Chellaston
They are all due to appear before Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Monday 15 June.
The charges relate to the theft of a large number of tools from the vans of tradespeople in numerous locations including Derby, Stenson Fields, Sinfin and Borrowash.
Numerous officers from the Neighbourhood Enforcement Team, Neighbourhood Acquisitive Crime Team and Swadlincote Safer Neighbourhood Team have been involved in the investigation as part of Operation Askwicken.
A significant number of tools that are suspected to have been stolen have since been recovered following a day of action in Weston-on-Trent and Spondon on Wednesday 14 January.
