A shoplifter who targeted a trio of shops in Derby has been jailed.
Officers arrested Ryan Rodgers on suspicion of shop theft after he was spotted walking with a basket of stolen goods in Lara Croft Way at 10am on Wednesday 22 April.
Analysis of CCTV showed the 32-year-old had targeted three shops in Derby city centre between 18 and 22 April.
He stole two perfume products from the Frasers Store at the Derbion Centre, a tote bag, two robot toys, a dinosaur toy and a Monopoly set from Waterstones in St Peter’s Street and multiple chocolate goods from the One Beyond store in Crown Walk.

Rodgers, of Normanton Road, Derby, was charged with three counts of theft from a shop.
He pleaded guilty to the charges and was jailed for four and a half months during a sentencing hearing at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 23 April.
Rodgers was also made to pay more than £300 in compensation.
Officers who arrested him are part of Project Flex, which is using the Home Office’s ‘Clear Hold Build’ framework in order to disrupt serious organised crime, reclaim and rebuild affected neighbourhoods in an area running from St Peter’s Street down towards Rosehill.
