In Derbyshire, the BCRP operates within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner under the strategic oversight of Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Nicolle Ndiweni-Roberts.
By working in partnership in this way, the BCRP can leverage the conveying power of the PCC and can offer enhanced representation for the business community at regional and national forums, enabling stronger advocacy on issues such as prolific offenders, safer high streets, and criminal justice outcomes. This means BCRP members feed into work shaping policing and partnership strategies that affect residents and business in Derbyshire and Derby City.
