The Disability Confident scheme is nationally recognised and encourages employers to be positive about the skills that people with disabilities can bring to the workforce, and to remove barriers to recruiting and retaining employees with disabilities.
The scheme has three levels - employer, committed and leader – and recognises organisations that demonstrate that they make the most of the opportunities provided by employing people with disabilities.
We aim to be an employer of choice, striving to be representative of the communities we serve.
It further demonstrates our commitment to inclusion and acceptance for people from diverse backgrounds in the workplace, ensuring that those with disabilities and long-term health conditions have the opportunities to fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations.
The Disability Confident scheme helps us to benchmark our systems, policies and overall support to attract and develop talented individuals who are disabled.
