Your Safer Neighbourhood Team
I have previously worked as a PC at Staveley, a Sgt based on the Safer Neighbourhood and a Response Sgt at Clay Cross and Chesterfield.
After promotion to Inspector I carried out the role of Reactive Inspector and then latterly worked within the North Neighbourhood Safeguarding Team before becoming the Local Policing Unit Inspector based at Chesterfield.
My main aims and objectives for my team and I are to fight crime, tackle anti-social behaviour, work towards reducing acquisitive crime such as car crime, burglary and shop thefts.
Partnership working with local authorities and support agencies is key. All of the work we do aims to protect the vulnerable and provide a quality of service to our communities and tackle those issues that impact on the residents of the area.

• Number of fixed discussion events taken place to understand issues/ concerns.
• Facebook profiling of crimes/ prevention/ detection.
• Pre-planned events with other partnerships/ agencies.
• Have knowledge/ engagement/ locations of IOMs/ vulnerable/high risk subjects/ safeguarding members of public.
• Eastwood/Queens Park ASB Patrols. Regular patrols undertaken on parks, ASB warning letters given to individuals causing the ASB. Working alongside Councillors to problem solve where vulnerable females bungalows meet Eastwood park.
• Talbot CrescentRegular patrols carried out , collaboration with CSP/Council relating to neighbour issues.
• Industrial estate patrols to deter Covid breach and SAC
• We are building our Derbyshire Alert user presence in this area working alongside a refreshed NHW and local councillors.
• We revisit all SAC and Target Harden areas affected.
• Facebook polling in the evening captures a bigger audience/ provides more detailed responses.
