Today (Monday 9 June 2025), following the outcome of the inquest into the death of 16-year-old Rhianan Rudd in May 2022, Assistant Chief Constable Di Coulson, speaking on behalf of Counter Terrorism Policing in the East Midlands (CTPEM) and Derbyshire Constabulary, said:

1.Drug related antisocial behaviour remains a key focus for Staveley. Officers will carry out intelligence led warrants, target repeat addresses, conduct appropriate stop searches, and continue safeguarding visits. Work will continue with housing providers and support agencies to tackle linked behaviour and protect vulnerable residents.
2.Following a continued reduction in youth ASB, the focus now shifts to nuisance bikes in Middlecroft’s green spaces. Patrols will increase at peak times, with school based engagement delivered to support prevention. Officers will gather intelligence on routes and storage locations and conduct early intervention visits where required.
