Your Safer Neighbourhood Team
Your Safer Neighbourhood team (SNT) is a group of local police officers, Police Community Support Officers and Specials dedicated to serving your community.
We are proud to work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on preventing and reducing crime, protecting the vulnerable and providing reassurance across Derbyshire.

• Inkerman/MonkeyPark ASB.
• Speeding – Matlock Road/Walton Road.
• Speedwatch - Set up a community speedwatch and carry out scheduled speed checks in key areasAction taken:
• Number of fixed discussion events taken place to understand issues/concerns.
• Facebook profiling of crimes/prevention/ detection.
• Pre-planned events with other partnerships/agencies.
• Have knowledge/ engagement/locations of IOMs/vulnerable/ high risk subjects/ safeguarding members of public.
• Revisiting and target hardening all SAC offences and building public awareness and confidence.
• Parking Brookfield/ Westfield school – SNT PC’s carrying out daily school parking patrols targeting repeat offences.
• Speeding/Speedwatch - Cllr Perkins/Helen Jenkinson intervention re Matlock Road. Conducting regular speed checks no evidence of being a problem area. Additional speed checks on Walton Road where regular speeders seen. (Community speedwatches in their infancy).
• Neighbour disputes – Housing/CSP engagement meeting to problem solve/ASB cameras/letters and warnings issued
