Your Safer Neighbourhood Team
I am honoured to be the Inspector of the Derby North area which covers the neighbourhood areas of Derby City, Derwent, Oakwood, Chaddesden, Spondon, Mackworth, New Zealand and Allestree. I come in to this role with 20 years of policing experience.
Over my career I have worked in a variety of areas within Derbyshire including Amber Valley, High Peak, Derbyshire Dales and Ilkeston. Having policed these diverse areas, I understand the unique challenges and support our differing communities want and deserve.
I am passionate about neighbourhood policing and strongly feel this is a key policing role so we can embed ourselves within our communities to truly understand the issues that are affecting you. I expect my team to be visible and engage with the communities so we can deliver a meaningful service to improve the area you live and work within and make our city a safe place to visit.

1. Keeping our parks safe through darker nights - Hi-visibility patrols at key times to ensure parks are a safe space. - Work with partner agencies to look at how our parks can be made safer.
2. Tackling Drug Dealing and Drug Use - Targeted patrols in key locations known for drug dealing - work with partner agencies to help drive the closure of known addresses where drug dealing takes place.
3. Reduce reports in the use of Stolen and Off Road Bikes - Through Op Tollense run targeted operations at stopping bikes. - Work with our Youth Engagement Team to deliver inputs in Schools.
