I have proudly served with Derbyshire Constabulary for over 18 years, gaining experience in various operational roles at the ranks of Constable, Sergeant, and Inspectors. My career began at Ilkeston, where I worked as a response officer and a Safer Neighbourhood Officer before moving to Derby City as an operational officer later being promoted to Sergeant. Through my career, I have served in multiple locations across the city, including as a Custody Sergeant.
Most recently, I was part of the Prevention and Partnership Department, where I oversaw the delivery of our Crime Prevention Strategy and problem-solving initiatives. I have developed a background in Neighbourhood Policing, tackling Anti-Social Behaviour, implementing Evidenced Based Practice such as Hot Spot Policing, and fostering partnerships with those responsible for Community Safety.
Currently, I am honoured to serve as the Local Policing Inspector for South Derbyshire. I am deeply committed to Community Engagement and Problem Solving, ensuring that those who cause harm in our communities are brought to justice. I lead both our response team and neighbourhood team, based at the main Police Station in Swadlincote and at various beat locations across South Derbyshire.
I hold my officers to high standards, expecting them to diligently investigate crimes, bring offenders to justice and protect the vulnerable in our communities. I am dedicated to ensuring our officers remain both visible and responsive, transparent, and accessible to the public and our partners, making South Derbyshire a safer place to live, work and visit.

I have 19 years of service, all based at the Derby South section. I started in 2006 as a PCSO for the Hilton, Hatton, and Etwall area, where I worked for almost 10 years before moving across to the Mercia beat area for a few years.
I have thoroughly enjoyed being a PCSO - being out in the community, working alongside partner agencies to resolve local issues, engaging with youths, protecting the community’s most vulnerable residents, gathering and progressing intelligence, problem-solving, and applying crime prevention strategies to find lasting solutions.
In 2019, I became a PCSO Supervisor, responsible for supervising all PCSOs within the South Derbyshire area. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience to guide PCSOs who are working hard to tackle community issues, provide a visible presence, and engage with the public.
