Today (Monday 9 June 2025), following the outcome of the inquest into the death of 16-year-old Rhianan Rudd in May 2022, Assistant Chief Constable Di Coulson, speaking on behalf of Counter Terrorism Policing in the East Midlands (CTPEM) and Derbyshire Constabulary, said:
1. Road safety and speeding- Littleover lane
2. E-scooters across Littleover and Blagreaves
3. Southcroft drug dealing
1. Reports of speeding in Littleover, Littleover Lane having a recent high profile incident with a car flipping due to speeding. Liaising with Community Speedwatch to conduct regular seep watch sessions, as well as separate police generated, enforceable operations.
2. Education has been completed at schools and the hospital, as well as social media around the legality of E-scooters on public land. Enforcement through seizures of E-scooters to continue in areas identified.
3. Reports of drug dealing in the area of Southcroft from addresses, in public spaces and from vehicles. Intelligence gathering and enforcement actions such as warrants to tackle the issue.
