My role allows me to focus on addressing individuals and issues that have the greatest impact on the community; bringing offenders to justice while ensuring safeguard measures are in place.
As a qualified Mental Health First Aider, I am equipped to support both my team and members of public during times of crisis.
I lead a dedicated team who respond to community concerns, build lasting partnerships, and work together to create a safer, more connected community. We take pride in helping people feel heard, respected and protected.
Long Eaton Town
I have more than 25 years’ service with Derbyshire Constabulary.
For the last 20 years I have worked at Ilkeston, as a Police Community Support Officer and now as the PCSO Supervisor covering Erewash Safer Neighbourhood Team.
As a PCSO Supervisor I believe it is really important that my team put communities at the centre of what we do. I am responsible for the leadership of the PCSO’s across Erewash based at two stations at Ilkeston and Long Eaton.
It is expected that my staff work hard to deal with neighbourhood problems and to protect the vulnerable. It is vital that we are visible and have good working relationships with our partner agencies to make Erewash a safer place to live, work and visit.

1. Cross-border Operations – focussed operations working with bordering forces including Nottinghamshire using intelligence and targeted policing. Designed to proactively identify and tackle individuals and vehicles committing drug related offences on Derbyshire.
2. Pro-active serious violence prevention – close working with schools and partners, the Youth Engagement Team will work to educate and deter young people from incidents with a threat of weapons use. Alongside this will be an increase in proactive patrols and the use of stop searches in open areas.
3. Public space anti-social behaviour – work to tackle an increase in nuisance behaviour reported as a result of warmer weather and sporting events. Officers will target key public spaces and hotspot areas with additional hi-vis patrols to deter ASB. Along with partners, officers will work to identify individuals involved and use the appropriate enforcement tools.
