I am honoured to be the Inspector for North East Derbyshire and Bolsover currently. I have come into this role with over 15 years of front-line policing experience across two force areas.
I have a long-term affinity with the area having previously been a constable and sergeant here and have built an understanding of the various communities across the area. Prior to coming back here as Inspector I have been a leader in the force around neighbourhood policing, innovation, problem-oriented policing and partnership work.
My neighbourhood teams have clear direction around what is expected from them in relation to engagement and enforcement from quarterly review of neighbourhood priorities. 1 Shop theft in Clay Cross Town Centre.
2 Parking and Road Safety around Schools in Clay Cross and Holmegate.
3 Drugs around Holmegate and Clay Cross Centre.Action taken:
1. High Vis and plain clothes patrols, Crime prevention stalls and events. Working with Retail Premises to identify and prosecute Offenders.
2. We will liaise with schools to be at locations at specific times to ensure the public adhere to road markings and to highlight dangerous parking locations. Identify and deal with Offender by way of tickets or advice, in association with Civil Enforcement Officers. Utilise Community Catch ups and Social Media to inform drivers of the situation.
3. We will carry out high visibility patrols in the area, talking to members of the Public to identify offenders, utilising Derbyshire Alert and Community Catch ups.
