Your Safer Neighbourhood team (SNT) is a group of local police officers, Police Community Support Officers and Specials dedicated to serving your community.
We are proud to work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide our policing priorities for the area. This helps us to find useful, long-term solutions to local problems, while maintaining our wider focus on preventing and reducing crime, protecting the vulnerable and providing reassurance across Derbyshire.
1. Speeding
2. Off Road Motorcycles / E-bikes / E-Scooters
3. School parking
Issued 10 December 2024
1. We are conducting speed checks in problem areas when possible and are encouraging local councils to join/create Community Speed Watch groups in their area.
2. Off road motorcycles, electric bikes and E-scooters are a priority as there are a rising number of uninsured drivers using them on the road. We are always on the lookout for these vehicles during patrols and any vehicle seen being used in an anti-social manner and/or without insurance will be seized or issued a section 59 warning.
3. School parking remains to be monitored; all schools will be monitored when possible but specific problem areas will get the bulk of the attention. Joint patrols with council enforcement officers are being arranged for specific areas.
