North East Derbyshire is a local government district in Derbyshire, England. The council is based in the large village of Wingerworth.
Clay Cross the main town and an ex-mining community, currently going through a massive house building programme around the Town, which in turn is expected to increase the population. The Commercial Centre is also going through regeneration. As well as Clay Cross there are numerous villages and surrounding rural areas like Ashover and Holymoorside sitting within the more rural part of North East Derbyshire neighbouring districts are Chesterfield, Bolsover, Amber Valley, Derbyshire Dales, Sheffield and Rotherham.
The Neighbourhood also covers large areas of Rural Communities, which are classed as seldom heard, who have traditionally kept themselves to themselves. To combat this the SNT will continue to liaise with Parish Councils, organisations such as Young Farmers and visits to Rural Farmers. Encouraging communication via Derbyshire Alert Farmwatch and Newsletters.
The Safer Neighbourhood Team conduct high visibility patrols and liaise with the Community via Community Catch Ups, Street Meets, Parish Council meetings etc utilising Derbyshire Alert to gain insight into the Communities needs and issues which we can later address from the feedback.
1: Drug Dealing, hotspot areas around New Tupton.
2: School Parking and Speeding continues to be an issue on various locations on the Beat area.
3: Off Road Bikes/e- Scooters.

1: Conducting Street Meets and Community Catchups around areas of concern. Liaise with partner agencies, Rykneld Homes and DCC.
2: Liaise with school to be at locations at specific times to ensure the public adhere to road markings and to highlight dangerous parking locations. Liaise the Civil Enforcement to ensure that tickets are available to offending vehicles. Also to be highly visible while conducting speed checks.
3: Engage with MOP to identify areas most affected and conduct Street Meets, being highly visible in order to discourage use.
