Today (Monday 9 June 2025), following the outcome of the inquest into the death of 16-year-old Rhianan Rudd in May 2022, Assistant Chief Constable Di Coulson, speaking on behalf of Counter Terrorism Policing in the East Midlands (CTPEM) and Derbyshire Constabulary, said:

1.We will work closely with our partners in the Community safety partnership, focusing on both prevention and enforcement of crimes involving anti-social behaviour. We will conduct high-visibility and plain clothes patrols in hotspot areas, to deter offenders, develop intelligence and provide community reassurance. We will be sharing information with our partners on those individuals responsible for committing ASB within our Communities looking for a longer term approach to management of those involved.
2. Nuisance bike concerns will be addressed through increased patrols, school based engagement, and parental home visits. Officers will use Section 59 enforcement, work with CCTV and council teams, and seize illegal bikes where lawful.
