Today (Monday 9 June 2025), following the outcome of the inquest into the death of 16-year-old Rhianan Rudd in May 2022, Assistant Chief Constable Di Coulson, speaking on behalf of Counter Terrorism Policing in the East Midlands (CTPEM) and Derbyshire Constabulary, said:

Two men have been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Derby.

We are appealing for help identifying the man pictured after a woman was left injured in an attack at a bar in Derby.

1) To continue tackling drug-related crime and anti-social behaviour - pro-actively tackle drug dealers and users through stop search powers and work closely with treatment services for positive interventions - apply for court orders and use civil powers with our partner agencies, putting conditions on those effecting the quality of life for others through criminality. - To take positive action against properties and occupants selling drugs.
2) To tackle the illegal use of bikes, e-bikes and e-scooters - Work closely with schools/colleges to deliver education and intervention. - Carry out operations and pro-active patrols to engage, educate the public. - seize illegal e-bikes and e-scooters and deal with offences.
3) To continue working with partners to keep residential areas safe - Work with partners to achieve closure orders and civil injunctions against properties causing ASB issues for the community. - Conduct joint patrols and continue to work closely with our community safety partners.
