1. Increased visibility patrols at Kingsway retail park to deter shop theft and begging. Partnership work with Derby City Council to issue Community Protection Notices and Community Behaviour Orders. Mobile Police office has been booked for regular sessions as a community engagement location. Exploration behind correct reporting by stores.
2. Reports are twofold i) nuisance caused by takeaway delivery riders on E-bikes and ii) young people on E-scooters on local green spaces and near to St Lukes Church.
3. Derbyshire Constabulary’s Youth Engagement Team ( YET) have conducted surveys to garner feedback from the Youth Voice. Their primary concern has been identified as Knife Crime within the area. Proactive high visibility patrols in hotspot areas, intelligence lead stop searches of habitual or suspected knife carriers. Educational inputs within secondary schools and one to one sessions with young people where agencies have raised concerns.
