I joined the Police in 2001 and my first posting was at Peartree Police Station as a PC. Since then, I have returned to Derby West Section as a DC, SNT Sgt and now LPU Inspector.
I have worked at South Division for much of my career so far, both in uniform and as a Detective.
I am very happy to be back at Derby West, I am familiar with the area and have always enjoyed working here. I am very much looking forward to working with the Team, Partners and the Community to make Derby West a safe place to live, work and visit.

Issued 08 April 2025
1: Increased high visibility foot patrols by the safer neighbourhood team for reassurance and to detect ASB and crime. Engagement events for crime prevention and advice. Intelligence building and intervention work with offenders.
2: Reports of vehicles driving at excessive speeds on various roads. Community speedwatch regularly meet and conduct proactive sessions to monitor speed. PCSO's and PC's from the Neighbourhood team regularly conduct mobile monitoring and enforcement in regularly reported locations with handheld devices. Nursery and primary school visits to engage with young children regarding road safety.
3: With a rise in theft of tools or other items from motor vehicles, in particular building vans, we have an engagement plan aimed at visiting builders merchants, hotels where contractors are staying and pop up engagement stands to offer crime prevention advice and tools to minimise the risk of this offence. Colleagues within the Local Policing Unit are aware and patrol overnight.
