1 - We will analyse police data and alongside officer knowledge, identify local hotspots for alcohol-related ASB incidents, particularly focusing on Ilkeston Market Place. We will ensure regular high visibility patrols are conducted in the hotspot areas to provide reassurance, whilst robustly identify individuals involved in this behaviour to and use the appropriate enforcement tools. Joint work with Erewash Borough Council will continue as they consult and work to introduce a replacement Public Spaces Protection Order for the hotspot areas.
2 - We will analyse police intelligence to identify local hotspots for youth related ASB related incidents, with a particular focus on incidents in and around local businesses. We will work collaboratively with council and police Licensing Teams to offer support, aimed at tackling shop crime and remind owners of their licensing responsibilities. The Police Youth Engagement Team will work to identify those young people involved to ensure early intervention can be provided including attending consequence sessions as a result of their behaviour.
3 - We will continue to proactively target motor vehicles who engage in anti-social behaviour and speeding offences. Pro-active work will include speed watch in key locations identified for speeding, and patrols where the use of off-road bikes are causing anti-social behaviour. The illegal use of electric bikes and e-scooters will also be targeted, including riders engaging in reckless behaviour. Inputs at local education premises by our Youth Engagement Team will ensure that young people are educated on the dangers of the illegal vehicles
