1. Officers to conduct regular patrols in the town centre and surrounding areas. Regular engagement visits and shop watch meetings will be conducted with retail premises within the Ilkeston area to provide reassurance and offer crime prevention advice. Engagement with key stakeholders such as local businesses and shop owners. Review incident reports using police data to identify any individuals involved and take robust action to prevent deterioration of crimes and incidents being reported. Provide reassurance and offer crime prevention advice to smaller retail premises.
2. SNT officers will attend and assist in the investigation of all reports of vehicle crimes. Increased high visibility and plain clothes patrols to be conducted in hot-spot areas to detect and disrupt criminal activity. Deliver crime prevention advice, including ensuring vehicles are locked and high value items are removed from vehicles.
3. We will analyse police data to identify local hot spots for youth related ASB related incidents. With this information we will seek identities of individuals involved to tackle these issues and ensure regular high visibility patrols in designated areas are carried out to provide reassurance. Joint work with our youth engagement team to also be carried out so involved individuals can be held accountable for their actions and attend consequence sessions as a result of their behaviour.
