As a Police Community Support Officer, I have built strong relationships across diverse neighbourhoods, working proactively to prevent crime, support vulnerable individuals, and address local concerns with compassion and professionalism.
Throughout nearly two decades in the role, I have been passionate around community engagement, problem-solving, and public reassurance. Whether on foot patrol, liaising with schools, attending community events, or supporting victims of crime, I try to be approachable and reliable offering a reassuring presence.

Issued 01 July 2026
Thefts
Although the number of thefts for the area are reasonably low we appreciate that for victims it can be very impactive so we would encourage residents to report any suspicious activity on 999 or 101 at the time.
Actions
• Officers will be conducting regular patrols of the Valley during and performing proactive vehicle and person stops
• Officers will be holding more Property Marking Events, so residents are able to secure their possessions
Speeding
As always this is a concern for the community especially due to the types of roads in the area and with the high volume along the A6 and the county roads.
Actions
• Officers to enforce the speed limits across The Valley
• To take pro-active enforcement where possible
• Officers will also work with Roads Policing Unit and Rural Crime unit and carry out safe drive operations in the area
Drink driving
To tackle drink driving in our area officers have taken a proactive approach in conducting regular patrols and have spoken to local businesses about reporting incidents anonymously if they believe individuals to be drink driving, you can do this via Crimestoppers either online or by calling 0800 555 111, alternatively you can call 999 if happening at the time
