Anti-Social Behaviour – Off-Roaders
With the rural landscape making the area specifically vulnerable to ASB incidents involving off-road bikes, we understand the need for proactive and partnership working to tackle this priority. Over the last three months, officers have identified hotspots and peak times for calls for service, using this information to conduct patrols at appropriate times alongside local rangers; reducing calls for service by 100%.

Speeding
We understand that speeding remains a concern in the local community, with calls for service being received mainly for the A53 Leek Road, St Johns Road and Macclesfield Road; which all have a 30mph restriction. Officers continue to tackle this concern, with regular high visibility speed checks conducted on these, and surrounding roads, whereby drivers are dealt with robustly for any offences. Members of the community are urged to contact your local Safer Neighbourhood Officers if they would like to be involved in Community Speed Watch, favoured by other areas in High Peak whereby proactive community volunteers are supported by the police to reduce incidents of speeding.

Thefts
Officers continue to visit every victim of burglary, we understand that thefts and burglaries are invasive crimes, often leaving people feeling unsafe; these visits aim to offer reassurance and any support needed. Similarly, we have held community events in the area, offering crime prevention advice and supplying members of the public with tool/ property marking kits.
