Anti-social behaviour
Burglary
Parking and speeding motorists
Issued 01 April 2026
ASB has been identified as an issue effecting the community ranging from nuisance neighbours, littering, anti-social driving and nuisance youths/teenagers.
Action -
· We are tackling these issues with a focused problem-solving approach, conducting regular high-visibility patrols in identified hot spot locations engaging directly with residents, shop owners and young people to offer reassurance and identify those responsible. The team will work in partnership with local schools, housing providers and the council’s ASB officers to deliver early interventions and put long-term measures in place to prevent repeat incidents and improve community confidence.
Burglary Concerns around house burglaries have been raised as an issue impacting the community in and around the local area.
Action -
· To tackle burglaries the team will conduct intelligence-led patrols in key hotspot areas, combining high-visibility presence and identify suspicious behaviour at an early stage. Officers will work closely with residents, Neighbourhood Watch, and partner agencies to deliver home-security advice, gather local intelligence and respond quickly to any patterns of activity to prevent further offences. Parking issues, speeding traffic & hazardous driving
There have been ongoing concerns regarding parking, speeding and hazardous driving in various locations around Hadfield, Padfield and Tintwistle.
Action -
· Officers are conducting regular speed checks, engaging with drivers to promote safer behaviour, and working alongside local schools and community groups to improve road safety awareness. The team is also liaising with the council’s highway department to review signage and explore long-term solutions.
