This site is a beta, which means it's a work in progress and we'll be adding more to it over the next few weeks. Your feedback helps us make things better, so please let us know what you think.
For the High Peak area we have two neighbourhood teams; Glossop SNT cover the northern half of the High Peak Policing area whilst Buxton SNT cover the south, both areas have a mix of both rural and town centre beats. Some of our beats are miles of open countryside which is beautiful to look but is a work place for our farming communities and a recreational space for our visitors. We understand that different areas of our communities need different neighbourhood policing support and engagement from us at different times. We work closely with our partner agencies such as Peak District National Park, High Peak BC and Derbyshire Fire and Rescue to keep all who live, work and visit here safe.

Anti-social behaviour
Issued 01 April 2026
You have reported nuisance youths as your top concern. We have listened to your views and expectations to formulate a response.
Action:
- We are working directly with the teenagers involved to find resolutions which support all residents. We will continue to patrol the area and meet with residents to discuss any ongoing concerns to develop our working strategy. All work is completed with the support of our partners.
Speeding traffic
Residents of Gamesley and St Johns are continuing to highlight the impact of speeding within the area, raising concerns about speeding traffic.
Action:
- We are supporting Gamesley Speed Watch – please contact us if you would like to be involved. We are also conducting patrols and liaising with the community about any hotspots. Anti-social behaviour (ASB) We understand how disruptive ASB can be and how it can affect the day-to-day lives of everyone.
Action:
- We are tackling ASB through proactive patrols,, and proactive and reactive community engagement. For any of the above issues, please raise any concerns with your local officers, via 101, on the Derbyshire Constabulary website or through Crimestoppers (online or on 0800 555111) if you wish to remain anonymous. This will help us formulate targeted responses. Please remember to follow our Facebook page ‘Glossop Police SNT’ which has information on latest crimes in the area and any upcoming events.
