It’s not currently possible to get insurance for privately owned e-scooters, which means it's illegal to use them on the road or in public spaces. If you're using a private e-scooter you risk the vehicle being seized under S.165a of the Road Traffic Act 1988 for no insurance we will be patrolling the area and using the powers given to us to tackle this issue We will continue to work with The community and partners to deal with ASB in a robust fashion we will hold regular events to gauge opinions and tackle persistent offenders. Consequence Clinics are still being run at Glossop Police Station which are designed to educate young people and to make them aware of the consequences their actions have on the wider community. We also continue to engage with young people in the community. The Safer Neighbourhood Team continue to work with other agencies in identifying and dealing with Anti-Social Behaviour and we would encourage you to get in touch should you see any or be subject of this behaviour.
