Anti-Social Behaviour Speeding Drug Dealing/Taking
Issued 07 July 2025
Over the last 3 months there have been reports of general anti-social behaviour but mainly issues with youths around the area of the shops. The Safter Neighbourhood Team and partner agencies have worked together to prevent the youths from causing issues by having buildings boarded up, fences fixed, and anti-climb paint put in place. Although these measures have already been put in place, with the school holidays approaching officers will be conducting regular patrols around these areas Speeding is a repeat issue in Gamesley, Charlesworth and Chisworth mainly occurring on Glossop Road down to Marple Road. Due to this, officer’s from the Gamesley Safer Neighbourhood Team will attend these locations with a speed gun and fines will be issued. When reporting vehicles speeding or driving dangerously, we advise members of the public to include registration plate’s where possible to help officers contact the drivers Feedback from members of the public has raised the concern for drug dealing and taking in the area. We advise members of the public to report any sightings of drug dealing/taking by phoning 101 or reporting online via www.crimestoppers-uk.org When reporting online please include date, time, location and descriptions.
