Nuisance Electric Bikes: Over the past few months New Mills, Hayfield and Birch Vale SNT have seen several electric bikes and E-Scooters riding around New Mills. We have been conducting regular high visibility patrols as well as. We have been doing targeted patrols around areas of reported use of E-Bikes and off-road motorbikes being driven in an anti-social manner. These areas include the Sett Valley Trail.
Burglaries: Burglaries and Thefts tend to increase as the evenings become darker. In response, we will be reminding residents of key crime prevention measures and encouraging the reporting of any suspicious activity. We will also be increased our high visible patrols, offering home security advice, burglary follow ups and bike and property marking events in the aim to stop people becoming repeat victims of crime. If a crime is in progress, please call 999 immediately. We appreciate the continued support of our community and remain committed to working together to keep New Mills safe.
