Robert Nicklin
PCSO

With 19 years of dedicated service with Derbyshire Constabulary I have embraced and supported community policing, fostering trust, safety, and collaboration between the public and law enforcement. As a Police Community Support Officer, I have built strong relationships across diverse neighbourhoods, working proactively to prevent crime, support vulnerable individuals, and address local concerns with compassion and professionalism.

Throughout nearly two decades in the role, I have been passionate around community engagement, problem-solving, and public reassurance. Whether on foot patrol, liaising with schools, attending community events, or supporting victims of crime, I try to be approachable and reliable offering a reassuring presence.

I have experience of being a PCSO in Hadfield , New Mills and as a Youth Engagement officer this gave me the extensive experience and local knowledge to support our Community . My Current Role is that as a PCSO Supervisor where I strive to build safer environments and positive partnerships, and to support my team in delivering quality of community policing to the residents of the High Peak.

Your SNT have been conducting High Visibility targeted patrols around these areas at the reported times. Several children have been spoken with recently and warnings have been issues. There has been an increase in children kicking doors and throwing eggs at houses. Please consider home security options like CCTV and if you have any footage that may assist the police please email one of your SNT officers.
Speeding Issues on A6015: Speeding is a big concern in all parts of the local area, but certain locations have been highlighted by residents where we have started to do enforcement with the assistance from the forces Road Safety Team (CREST). Residents have already set up Community Speed watch schemes which are running well and would encourage anyone who is interested in setting up a scheme in their area to email the Speed watch Team. [email protected]
Off Road Motor Bikes: Over the past few months, we have received several reports of off-road motorbikes riding along the restricted byways in New Mills. There are several of these however the majority have been seen near Brook Bottom Road and Rowarth Area. We have been conducting regular high visibility patrols as well as liaising with our off-road motorbike team.
